Going deeper together is the only way. Cape Town's Mambo gurus bring you the Footloose Challenge.
Mambo is a style of music that falls under the salsa banner. Dancing mambo has become synonymous with dancing salsa on2. Simply put this means focusing on the 2nd vs 1st the beat of the music. It matters ;) Mambo music lends itself to individual expression within the partner dance. Inspired by the 80s movie, the Footloose challenge is about learning to let loose on the dance floor.
A new move may just be what you need to break through to another level. They challenge you to do things that you didn't know your body could do. A great combination of moves has this way of making you feel legendary!
Ever seen yourself dancing in a video? And you thought... hmmm why doesn't it look as good as it felt? Styling is what you need. Make that move smooth and smashing!
Someone once said. Practice the wrong thing long and hard enough and you become good it at. Technique is the "how" of moves and styling. What is the right way to execute that move or execute that styling. From taking basic steps to body isolation having the right technique will empower you and speed up your dancing journey!
You don't need to play an instrument to think about musicality! To put it simply musicality is about connecting your moves and styling to what the music is doing. It's about using your dancing toolkit and applying it to what you hear. Find the beat, predict the changes in the music, become melodic. This is the experience part!
